BENT FOR BOSS:
UNIQUE COLLABORATION BETWEEN BENT VAN LOOY AND BOSS PAINTS
Intuition, atmosphere and feeling, that’s what it’s all about for Bent Van Looy, both when he’s making music and in his designs. The Belgian paint manufacturer BOSS paints asked him to create a collection that fits with his personal style and worldview. The result of this striking collaboration was named BENT FOR BOSS and consists of a palette of colours, wall paper designs and wall stickers.
STRIKING AND UNIQUE, FULL OF COLOUR
Bent Van Looy is a man of many facets: a singer, musician, media personality, designer and painter. But he is known first and foremost as a fashion icon, the colourful man on stage, radio and television. The link between Bent and colour is unmistakable, and that has not escaped the attention of BOSS paints either. For the paint manufacturer, the collaboration was a deliberate choice, in which Bent was given complete freedom to design a personal collection. Every detail bears his signature. You can feel that and you can see it, too, in the photos that were made in Bent’s home in Antwerp: a multicoloured assortment of art and objects.
A STORY BEHIND EVERY COLOUR
With BENT FOR BOSS, Bent has created a striking product line. ‘I am not necessarily subtle when I make something. If I do something, I want people can see it. The collection is about travelling, being en route, nostalgia and banal things that often appear quite unusual. It is intended for people who, like me, love colour and enjoy losing themselves in a story’, says Bent Van Looy. As art director, he was given the tools by BOSS paints to design a series that fits perfectly with his own taste, style and interior. BENT FOR BOSS achieves a perfect symbiosis between the distinctive vision of Bent and BOSS paints’ many years of experience.
BENT FOR BOSS consists of 24 colours, 7 wall paper patterns and 7 wall stickers, and is available from 14 March at the Colora paint shops and better decor stores.
